to get full information packet.
1) Write, e-mail, or telephone the Club Secretary to ask questions and/or to receive an information packet with membership application form:

Interview with Condair Board.
 

2) Return the membership application, which you will find in the packet, along with a $10 application fee, to Condair Flyers, Inc., P.O. Box 808, Schenectady, NY 12301 (or to the Secretary's address). Upon receipt of your application the Secretary will telephone to arrange your interview with the Board of Directors. At the time of your interview, you will be asked to provide a copy of your "Abstract of Driving Record," which you can obtain from your county office of the Department of Motor Vehicles for $10. If you have never driven, that's OK.
  
Pay equity deposit of $3,170
(as of January 2005, subject to change)and first month's fixed fee.
3) Upon approval of your application, you may initiate your membership by paying an equity deposit of $3170 and a fixed monthly fee of $65 for the first month. The check can be sent to P.O. Box 808, Schenectady, NY 12301 or directly to the Club Treasurer, whose address can be found on the active member roster in the application packet.
  
Obtain Security Clearance
at Albany International Airport.
4) Obtaining a security clearance requires submission of a Security Application and fingerprinting (for a $35.00 fee paid only by check). Upon passing the background check, you must attend an Airport offered class on airport security.
  
Review regulations
with club instructor and have check-ride for licensed pilots.
5) Upon receipt of the necessary payments and your security clearance, you will be contacted and directed to arrange to review the "New Member Checklist" with an approved member instructor. If you are a licensed pilot you will also need to get a check ride in one of the club airplanes with that instructor. Upon completion of a successful check ride, you will receive a key fitting all club aircraft.
  
Fly safely, enjoy, attend
monthly member meetings . .
You will, of course, be permitted to fly only those club aircraft for which you have been checked out.  If you are a student pilot, you will also receive a key, which you will use when you fly with a club approved flight instructor or for an authorized solo.
